LYNCHBURG – William J. Priore, 61, passed suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in Freemont, Ind., while working on the Fawn River Restoration Project.

William was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Youngstown, to the late William and Dinah (Marsch) Priore. He made his home in Lynchburg with his only daughter, Megan Priore.

Bill graduated from Ursuline High School in 1970, and upon graduation, attended Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. He completed a Master of Science degree in Geology at Wright State University in 1984. He went on to own his own company, Strategic Sediment Solutions and was Mayor of Lynchburg for four years. Bill had a lifelong love of Geology and enjoyed collecting minerals, cooking, gardening, golfing, target shooting, and spending time with his daughter.

Along with his daughter, he leaves behind his sister, Johanne (Priore) Edel; his niece, Theresa (Edel) Young; nephew Nicholas Young; along with his many cousins and friends he enjoyed spending time with.
